Our 12 Core Beliefs

.webp)
1) We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Scripture is authoritative in our lives. It is without any error in the original manuscripts and is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation and our perfect guide for all matters of life.
2) We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.
3) We believe God the Father is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist (Acts 17:28). God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
4) We believe that through Adam and Eve, sin entered the world. Every person (except Jesus) has fallen short of the glory of God and incurred the penalty of sin, which is death and separation from God. Humanity is incapable of saving itself and is in need of a Savior. The blood of the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, was shed on the cross to provide the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin.
5) We believe our Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead to offer us new life. All who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and His life-giving Resurrection, and are, therefore, in right relationship with God (permanent position of favor with God). Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

6) We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily Resurrection; His Ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

7A) We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter. The Holy Spirit is the seal of God’s ownership on us, a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. He guides believers into all truth, convicts non-believers of their sin which has separated them from God, and points all to Jesus and thus exalts Him. The Holy Spirit graces believers with spiritual gifts. Each person is specifically gifted for the acts of service God has prepared for him or her. The gifts are given for the edification of the Body, to aid in making disciples, and in bringing glory to God. The gifts of the Holy Spirit that we see exercised in the New Testament have not ceased with the death of the last Apostle (1 Corinthians 12-14).
7B) We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation, when a person believes in Jesus Christ as Messiah. The baptism of the Holy Spirit was prophesied by John the Baptist (Mark 1:8). This promise was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1–4); where believers were permanently indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and spoke in tongues as the church began. This baptism marks the believer’s entrance into the Body of Christ and is evidenced by the indwelling presence of the Spirit. We also affirm that the gifts of the Spirit, including speaking in tongues and interpretation, are given for the edification of the church and the proclamation of the Gospel to all nations.

8) We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the saved to eternal life and reward, and the lost to eternal separation from God. Believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) to receive rewards, while unbelievers will face final judgment at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11–15).

9) We believe that water baptism is an outward act that demonstrates a believer’s identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Baptism is intended for those who are able to profess faith in Jesus Christ. We baptize by immersion as signified by the Greek word “baptizo” and because it best symbolizes the reality to which baptism points―the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. While baptism is not a means of salvation, it is a public declaration of the inward transformation that has already occurred through faith in Christ.

10) We believe Holy Communion is a celebration of Jesus’ victory over sin and death. It is not merely a ritual, but a spiritual act of remembrance and faith. The bread represents Jesus’ body given for our wholeness, and the cup represents His blood shed for our forgiveness and righteousness. As we partake, we are reminded of the New Covenant established by His sacrifice and are invited to receive the grace, healing, and renewal made available through His finished work on the cross.

11) We Believe we are called to preach the Gospel to all nations. God’s will is to bless His people in Christ—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—so that we may live fruitful, victorious lives and be a blessing to others. While God delights in healing and provision, He also empowers us by His Spirit to persevere through trials, to steward His blessings well, and to be faithful witnesses in every circumstance.

12) We believe in the power of the church when it is unified in mind and spirit in Christ. We believe in the importance of members using their spiritual gifts to glorify God, encourage one another in the faith, and to make disciples. We believe the local church is God’s primary vehicle for discipleship, community, and mission in the world.
