In May of 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic another well-known pastor took his own life. During his last sermon he said, "The only way to meet God is in isolation. The only place God is to be found is in loneliness. The only place where we can really worship is in brokenness. I hate that so bad!” It is possible that the belief of this lie might be what kept this man in a perpetual state of isolation and brokenness. In his final podcast speaking with another pastor, he reflected on a past failure at a previous church and attributed his failure in part to becoming isolated from many of his friends. “I stopped pursuing friendships, “Another way to say that, I stopped being known. And that was the beginning of the end.” I believe if he would have let himself and his struggles be known to others there is a great chance he would still be with us today.  Pastor Helper was created to be a safe place where a pastor can come to receive grace and healing from the Lord as they authentically let themselves be known to another believer.
